Our Product, Pricing & Purchasing

glasshouse is the leading dealer and expert in Historic Period Blenko glass (1947-74) and mid-20th century Empoli glass. We offer the largest single selection with the most exceptional, important and rare designs. Only a small fraction of our 600+ inventory is pictured online - visit our retail location or private showroom in New York City to view our full inventory.

All our glass is vintage: made circa 1920-70 and long out of production.

All our glass is hand-blown: made entirely by hand using blowpipes and shaping tools including hand-carved wood molds. It is made by teams of skilled workers, each performing a specialized task. The process takes place in a small artisanal factory.

Pricing: our prices, on average, range from $200 to $1,000.

Identification

Auction houses & accredited museums: yes, I will gladly assist with identification without charge, please email me from an official email address.

Dealers & sellers: you must visit and read the "Selling" page if you would like information or to sell your vintage Blenko or Empoli glass. I try to be as accomodating as I can be but have some simple rules.

Individuals: For active customers only I will happily assist with identification of items you own. Non-customers, I am sorry but my time is limited. In my experience almost all your questions can be answered by reading my Newsletters and articles or visiting www.BlenkoArchive.org which also does not provide identificaiton services but is the most reliable and thorough self-help Blenko identification website.

I do not provide "values" and note that values for a "shape" are not standard as there are many variables beyond shape that affect value.
Under no circumstances will I evaluate other dealers' items for a third party, please do not ask me to.
