What We Sell:

All our glass is vintage, meaning old & out of production. The glass we sell was all made between circa 1920 and 1970. The type of glass we specialize in is called free-blown "production" glass with a focus on rare examples.

Free-blown glass is made entirely by hand using blowpipes, molds (almost always hand-carved wooden molds) and shaping tools. The work is performed by skilled workers, each performing a specialized task.

The process is not mechanized but takes place in a small artisanal factory (production) setting as opposed to in a studio.

About "Special Items": Items that are marked "Special Item" are particularly noteworthy, important or rare designs that deserve extra attention and additional information. Each of these items has a page dedicated to it, much like our "Featured Item". To access these pages simply click on the thumbnail photo marked "Special Item" or the "more info..." link in the description.

Our Policies:

We believe in customer satisfaction! We guarantee our items to be as described and authentic. Returns are gladly accepted for a full refund.

A word on condition:
All items on our website are in good condition unless otherwise noted. Condition issues are indicated either within the description below the thumbnail image or in the text of the accompanying "Special Item" page.

Payment:
We accept payment by credit cards and bank transfers online through Paypal and we also accept payment by check, money orders and cash.
To pay by Paypal just use the shopping cart buttons (see shipping note below). To pay by check or money orders email us with the item # or design # of the piece(s) you would like to purchase.

Layaway:
On all items over $600 we offer layaway on flexible terms. Terms will vary according to the value of the item(s) in question. Just email us with the item number(s) and let us know what terms work for you.

Shipping Cost:
Whenever possible we include the shipping cost in the item price for shipments within the continental US. However, with larger items or items under $250 there is often a nominal shipping charge. When purchases are made using the shopping cart function and additional shipping costs apply, we will contact you with shipping cost after you have made your purchase.
For sales outside the continental US shipping charges, at cost, will apply.

Shipping Method:
We prefer to ship by UPS Ground but are happy to use any carrier of your choice with the exception of FedEx on items over $500 in value (FedEx does not insure fragile items or art worth over $500). We have over a decade's experience in packing glass with thousands of items shipped and the lowest loss rate possible (one, to date). Safe and successfull delivery is our number one concern. All items are securely packed with bubble-wrap and foam peanuts in strong cardboard boxes, when necessary we double-box. We also believe in being GREEN and the best way to do that is to RE-USE! When possible we re-use all clean and viable packing material; this may not look like the most glamorous solution but it is the most responsible solution by far. If an item is being sent as a gift, please let us know if you would prefer all-new packing material.

Location & Viewing:
We are not a retail location but private viewings are available by appointment; we are located in the West Village of Manhattan, New York City. Just email us if you would like to schedule a viewing!

EMAIL US to let us know what you want more of and to let us know if anything isn't working or could be improved. We love your feedback!
